Which Personality Type are You?... What drives you to have that Personality Type?
Our personality type has a direct impact on our health because it puts us in a chronic state of being. At times our personality drives us to be the ambitious, motivated and independent which always us to achieve our goals… but other times it can create an opportunity for disease because we don’t know how to say “NO” or we want to impress people so we go above and beyond no matter the cost.
1."Type A"
This personality is usually rushed, ambitious, time-conscious, impatient, impulsive, competitive, perfectionist. Types A are always trying to do everything by themselves because they have difficulty delegating any task. Types A are often insecure and can believe that by achieving their goals and ambitious they will gain the level of control they need in order to overcome their feelings of insecurity.
Type A are candidates for stress related illnesses. This personality type has the highest risk of heart disease, stroke, fatigue (especially during slow down periods).
2.“Type B”
They are relaxed, patients, introspective and go by intuition without being judgmental, adapt easily, less driven and generally content with themselves . They live the moment and tend to be friendly. They are better able to put things into perspective, and think through how they are going to deal with situations They are able to delegate tasks and do not have the need to take everything on themselves. They are calm and not likely to damage their health due to a stressful life style.
3.“Type C”
This personality responds to stress with depression and a sense of hopelessness, they have a tendency to be introverted, respectful, eager to please, conformist and compliant. Type C personalities have difficulty expressing emotions and tend to bottle things up especially if those things bother them. They weigh pros and cons to take a decision and exercise extreme control over their words and behavior.
Type C personality is called the cancer prone personality however this theory has not been proved completely. There is evidence that suggests that the chance to survive cancer depends on the sense of denial and fighting spirit that is characteristic of type A however type C seem to accept their fate passively
In general, everyone has elements of each personality type. Even people with adaptable personalities can experience effects of long-term stress if they do not control certain aspects of their daily lives.
